The Founding Population

The founding population is the basis for all the breeding groups.

Even though we've selected the dogs carefully and there are close to twenty founding dogs in each group, some of the dogs are still so young that we don't know if they will be suitable for breeding. It's therefore more than a possibility that some of the dogs we've planned to be part of a breeding group won't ever breed. For this reason we'll be adding dogs to the founding population pages only when the dog and the bitch used for breeding are truly in the project ie. the litter has been born or the bitch is at least in pup.

Because the project has awoken the interest of several other breeders of different breeds we've also added some of the possible founding dogs even though they've not yet been bred from. This is to give the casual visitor an impression of what kind of dogs the project consists of. (Note: links to pages in Finnish, under construction in English)
